Residence with Graceful Elegance

With ingenious design skills, Chien-Ting Wang outlines the great scenery outside the building, creating a living environment of peaceful comfort. The style, combined with elegance, discipline, and vacation vibes, perfectly captures the desired home atmosphere for the couple who appreciate the beauty of life.

The recessed lamps on the marble wall alleviate the heaviness caused by its body, while the delicate leather couches in dark coffee and the light brown column beams bring vividness to the interior space. The neoclassical style, favored by the hostess, exudes a noble atmosphere.

This residence spans 465 square meters and is located in Taichung City, Taiwan. It was completed in December 2016.

The genuine patterns of window grilles and pillars serve as the medium material connecting the indoor and outdoor space. Through the ingenious design skills, the designer has brought creativity to the highest level by utilizing rectangular frames in different scales and consistent compositions, resulting in variations of lines and visibility of space.

After a long day, the host comes back to a pleasant home with a Bali-style environment created by Chien-Ting Wang. The tender woods, rattan hanging chair, and guanying rock bring forth a comfortable space. The composed atmosphere of the bedside wood frame and the clear and sharp ceiling provide a personal space for the couple to indulge in a joyful atmosphere. The bathroom, furnished with a titanium door and round tub, is designed for the couple to relieve their stressful workload, making this residence a true home.

The design of the delicate couch placed on the turning space of the staircase adds a composed atmosphere to the otherwise dull space. The auditorium, in a simple but classical style, is a place for the couple to have fun with friends. The difference between the KTV and auditorium lies in their purpose - one is for recreation, while the other is for classical music.

This design was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2018. The award recognizes outstanding and creatively ingenious designs that authenticate experience and resourcefulness. Esteemed for incorporating best practices in art, science, design, and technology, these designs exhibit strong technical and creative skills and contribute to quality of life improvements, making the world a better place.
